Beth was born in Dallas, Texas and was raised primarily in Boulder, Colorado. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing degree. Beth wanted to follow her mother’s footsteps and become a lawyer to help people in need. She graduated from Whittier Law School in 2004. Prior to graduation, Beth completed a Judicial Clerkship for Judge Francisco F. Firmat in the Family Law Department at the Orange County Superior Court. She later served as a Law Clerk for the Whittier Law School Children’s Advocacy Clinic where she discovered her passion to help children and families. Beth was a member of the Trial Advocacy Honors Board and Public Interest Law Foundation, and received Dean’s List honors.
While waiting for bar exam results, Beth sought a law clerk position for attorney Ted R. Youmans at Van Deusen, Youmans & Walmsley to pursue her career in adoption law. Shortly thereafter, she became an Associate Attorney at Van Deusen, Youmans and Walmsley where she gained exceptional experience and enjoyed the practice area immensely. Beth and Ted Youmans have practiced law together since 2006. She feels incredibly fortunate to be able to fulfill her passion to help children and families and to work at Family Building amongst an outstanding team of dedicated and skilled professionals.
Beth is married to Cheston Christopher. They live in Orange County where they are raising their two children and Labrador Retriever. They enjoy spending family time together, attending church, camping, skiing and going to the beach. In her spare time, Beth enjoys beach walks, yoga and photography.
