Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read this and get to know us. We want you to know that we are a committed couple who loves the Lord, loves each other and we are ready to love a child and grow our family.
Rick grew up in Michigan with his loving family. He has 3 sisters, which makes him the only boy! He moved out to Southern California when he was 18, now his two younger sisters live in California with their families, which is very sweet. We just need to convince his older sisters family and his parents to move out here from Michigan. Rick graduated from UCI and then started his own company and it has been thriving ever since. He absolutely loves helping people with their own business ideas, life, and just chatting with anyone he meets. He cares deeply for the people in his life and loves being hospitable.
Nikki was born and raised in Southern California (fun fact: she was actually born in her childhood home). She is the youngest of 4; 2 sisters and 1 brother. Nikki worked in Youth Ministry for 9 years, during that time she lived in Ireland for 2 years and worked with the youth over there. Upon returning from Ireland Nikki met Rick, got married and started her own company. Nikki loves serving and taking care of others. She enjoys music and learning new instruments (currently she is learning the banjo). She’s pretty passionate about food and creating warm and inviting environments.
Rick and Nikki met on a little website called eHarmony! Both of us didn’t think it would work, but we were encouraged by our sisters, so we went for it. We had a pretty sweet first date
(we’ll have to share that one with you sometime), but what was so surprising was that we instantly felt comfortable with each other and once our families met it was wonderful to see God’s hand at work in placing us together. Both of our parents have been incredible examples to us in loving each other and their families extremely well. We LOVE to laugh, enjoy tasty meals with one another, CrossFit, and enjoy home projects. We got married a little over a year after we met and have now been married for 5 years.
Our journey in trying to grow our family has come with pain and growth and once we found out that Nikki’s body doesn’t have high probability in carrying a baby, we expressed a desire to adopt and have felt such peace and comfort knowing that we have so much love and nurture to raise a child in the Lord.
Thank you so much for reading all of this. When God opens the door we are prepared to share our home, our heart, and our lives with a child and raise them as our own with an abundance of love, support and lots of laughter. If that is your child, that is our commitment to you.
With so much love,
Rick and Nikki
