Frequently Asked Questions

You can read some more FAQ’s about adoption at the California Department of Social Services website here: https://www.cdss.ca.gov/adoptions

Are there any functions of an agency that you do not perform?

We are very different from an agency. We do not do home studies (which you will have to obtain from an agency). Click HERE for our list of Recommended Agencies. An agency cannot legally advise you, which is why you’re at the right place! It’s so important to have legal representation even before being matched.

What does birth mother counseling look like?

Each expectant mother (EM)/birth mother (BM) is assessed by either an adoption service provider or an agency. Further than that, if an EM or a BM is in need of counseling services, we can provide that to her if you choose and are willing to pay for it.

Do you work with all agencies or just a specific list?

We will work with any licensed agency, regardless if we have worked with them in the past or not. Click here for our list of recommended agencies.
