Dear Birth Parents: 

Thank you so much for taking the time to consider us as you are going into this uncertain time. Know that you are loved and supported, and the bravery you’re displaying by putting this baby up for adoption is not something we take lightly.

Our Story:

We started dating in high school and have been together for nearly 11 years and married for 6 of those. Together we have grown and learned what it means to love each other and our kids well. We lean into  our family and church for guidance and support in how to grow as individuals, as spouses, and as parents. 

We have had so many adventures together and are excited to take this new little one along with us on many more. After college we moved to Hawaii for about a year and enjoyed surfing, paddle boarding, hiking, and trying lots of new  foods. We are now back in our home state of Idaho which allows for us to have close access to lots of water and mountain sports that we enjoy.

We live close by to lots of grandparents, aunts and uncles that are all so excited for a new addition to our family. We live outside of town on a half acre with lots of grape vines, a big garden, chickens, and a dog. We love getting our kids involved in activities around the house. During the summer our kids love hanging out under the grape vine and snacking while they play. Out and about our kids enjoy riding on our paddle boards with us and chasing after birds in the water. 

About Garrett:

Garrett, 27, is a high school computer science teacher. He loves teaching his students how to program computers and enjoys seeing their creativity. He is also very grateful to be able to spend summer hanging out with his kids every day and taking them on adventures. Garrett enjoys stories and often tells his  daughter bedtime stories from books like The Hobbit. He also enjoys spending time with friends and family, camping, snowboarding, and movies. He loves sharing his interests with his kids.

About Kaydee:

Kaydee is 25 and an adjunct professor of exercise science. She grew up heavily involved in athletics and ran track and cross country in college. She is hoping to share her love of athletics with her kids.

She loves being active and  learning new things. She spends a lot of time cooking and gardening at home. She loves art, paddle boarding, hiking, and tending to their chickens. Kaydee is always encouraging and loves helping people achieve their goals. With kids, this is displayed through incorporating independent play and problem solving into their everyday lives.

Our kids: 

We have 2 kids—Karli (3) and Clark (1.5). They love to run and play and discover new things. One of Karli’s favorite things to do is bake with mom (and sneak sweets throughout the process) and one of Clark’s favorite things to do is play in the pool. They are both very excited to add a new baby to the mix. Seeing how they play with our friends’ kids, it is evident that they will love and care for a new baby brother or sister so very much.

Our values:

One thing that we value greatly in parenting is teaching our kids confidence. We always encourage our kids to figure things out on their own and we teach them the problem-solving skills to do so. We regularly tell our kids that they are strong and brave. We encourage them to get their hands dirty and discover new and exciting things. We frequently remind them that they will never be alone, because they always have us and Jesus.

Our Promise: 

We promise you that we will love this child however they will need. If they need extra cuddles, they will get extra cuddles. If they need extra dance parties to get the wiggles out, they will get extra dance parties. If they need extra help in school, they'll get that too and everything in between. Every kid is different, and we are committed to loving this child exactly where they are at and figuring out what they need to be successful. We will be sure to share your story with this child and tell them of your bravery and selflessness so that they know they have that same strength in them.
